Here is how I would describe my summer internship:

Let’s say that you are in need of a new body wash because your skin is looking dull and dry. You type “Vitamin E body scrub” into Google, and on the right, you see just what you are looking for!

Little did you know that I am the one who makes it possible for you to find what you’re looking for…

Here are some of my most basic tasks at Range Online Media (in the Stockyards!):

I come up with keywords – in my example, “Vitamin E body scrub” was the keyword. This means that I must come up with hundreds of variations for the keyword: body scrub, body wash, vitamin e body wash, etc.

Then, I come up with “creative” – the ads that appear on the side of the page when you’re searching for something on Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. This part is the most fun because I get to see my work in action!

I also create reports for my clients each week so that they understand what’s going on with their online accounts. Specifically, I’m working for on the Estee Lauder account.
